Alain Stöckli – Managing Director
Alain has over 20 years of comprehensive experience in asset finance and investment management, complemented by an award-winning background in international investment banking and capital markets.
Before founding Klimaworks, Alain was a founding member and managing partner at Doric Group from 2005, where he successfully launched and managed multiple real asset funds across real estate, energy, and transportation sectors.
His extensive industry expertise includes spearheading numerous real estate investments, fund structuring, and asset finance initiatives in primary and secondary markets.
Alain’s profound knowledge encompasses the sourcing and structuring of debt, mezzanine, and equity capital for investment and development projects throughout the UK and Western Europe.
A Financial Expert with Citigroup and Sustainability Leadership Experience
Before his tenure at Doric Group, Alain spent six years at Citigroup’s corporate and investment banking division in Zurich and London, where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and executing project finance transactions and asset-based investment solutions.
Alain’s career began in commercial banking as a relationship manager and credit officer, where he demonstrated his financial acumen by managing multibillion-dollar credit facilities to support the global operations of corporate clients.
His academic credentials include a master’s degree in business administration from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland and completing the Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility Management Programme at London Business School.
Additionally, he holds CFA certificates in ESG Investing and Climate & Investing, highlighting his expertise in sustainable investment practices.
